Julie Pedrick

Studio Director & Pilates Teacher

Julie trained at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and worked as a professional dancer and choreographer in Europe for 8 years.  Her first taste of Pilates was at the age of 14 when she suffered a lower back injury that began to restrict how much dance training she could do. Pilates changed the way she exercised forever!

She became a certified Pilates teacher in 2002 after training with Polestar Pilates UK and the Pilates Institute. Julie is the founder of Bodyworks Pilates and opened The Bodyworks Pilates Studio at The Belmore Centre in January 2017.

Prior to this, Julie was the Pilates and contemporary dance teacher and Rehabilitation Leader at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts for over 14 years, where she worked closely with the Physiotherapy department on their rehabilitation programme. Julie has also been a mentor for Polestar Pilates UK and continues to mentor Pilates teachers in training through her classes and 1-2-1's in order for them to gain experience.

Julie is happy to work alongside other healthcare professionals and welcomes referrals from Doctors, Physiotherapists and other practitioners. A self confessed course junkie, she is always looking to further her knowledge.  She is qualified to teach Pilates mat work (including all small equipment) and reformer, advanced back care, post spinal surgery, pre/post natal, osteoporosis, shoulder pathologies, neurological conditions, Oov, and all things foot related! She is a trained Sports massage therapist and Reiki practitioner.

Debbie Lynch

Pilates Teacher

After being referred to a physiotherapist for rehabilitation for a neck injury in 2004, Debbie was introduced to Pilates… , which changed her life! Realising the benefits and seeing and feeling the changes in her body, she continued with classes in America, and also when she returned to the UK in 2007. Following breast cancer and a fractured spine, the need for correct movement and rehabilitation was reinforced.
Debbie chose APPI as her Pilates training provider as they have a ‘therapeutic’ flavour to their Pilates training, and this fitted in really well with Debbie’s interests and passion for health and the human body.
She is also a qualified Reflexologist and Reiki practitioner.
